From January 4 to 11, 2025, Buéa will host the 48th Annual Bishops’ Seminar of Cameroon. Each year, the bishops hold two major meetings: the Seminar in January and the Plenary Assembly in April. The Seminar traditionally starts with a day of recollection, during which the bishops pray for their people and for all of Cameroon.

This year’s prayers and meditations are especially important in the electoral context, with a focus on transparency and integrity in the democratic process. The bishops also pray for peace, the reduction of violence and crime, and the restoration of human and religious values across the country.

Two significant events will mark this Seminar: the dedication of the Divine Mercy Co-cathedral in Buéa and the blessing of the new General Secretariat of Catholic Men. These key moments will allow the bishops to connect with comeroonian through celebrations, visits, and various gatherings, thereby strengthening faith and nurturing hope among participants.

The Buéa Seminar is a valuable opportunity to begin the year with prayer and reflection, aiming to build a fairer and better Cameroonian society.
